As hilarious and not always appealing as it looks, dogs like to roll in wet mud. There is a variety of reasons for that, ranging from plain boredom to a desire to cool off. It may even have more primeval roots and serve as a means to conceal their scent, even though golden retrievers are hardly predators like their distant ancestors.
