On Wednesday, Myanmar's military announced the formation of the State Administration Council headed by senior general Min Aung Hlaing. This came a few days after the military detained State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi and President Win Myint in a coup that followed weeks of tensions over alleged vote-rigging.
