Thousands of farmers have been protesting against agricultural laws on Delhi's outskirts for the last month, where the temperature hit 1.1 degrees Celsius on New Year's Day, the lowest this winter so far. It was also the lowest minimum temperature recorded in Delhi in the last 15 years in January.
