If you thought Michael Myers' killing days were finally over, then welcome to the Halloween franchise! Please remain seated and keep your blood inside your body at all times.
Universal Pictures just released the official trailer for slasher horror Halloween Kills, once again following hardened grandma Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) in her fight against masked murderer Myers (James Jude Courtney and Nick Castle). Picking up right where 2018's Halloween left off, the film sees Strode hunting down Myers to finally end his murder spree once and for all, with her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) in tow.
However, if we've learnt anything from the previous films in the franchise, it's that Myers is very, very difficult to kill. The fact that sequel Halloween Ends has already been announced does not bode well for the Strode family either.
"Michael Myers is flesh and blood," says Laurie. "But a man couldn't have survived that fire."
Halloween Kills is scheduled for release on October 15 — just in time for, well, Halloween.
