Ten Years After Freak Tsunami Caused Fukushima Disaster, Why Is Japan Sticking With Nuclear Energy? 

At around 2.46pm local time on 11 March 2011 an earthquake measuring 9.0 on the Richter scale strikes off the east coast of the main Japanese island, Honshu. A tsunami up to 40 metres tall then slammed into the north-east coast, killing 16,000 people and threatening a major nuclear disaster.
