New Delhi (Sputnik): Deep rot in the Indian banking system has come to the fore, with fraud at Punjab National Bank, Punjab and Maharashtra Bank (PMC) and Yes Bank in the last three years. While jewelers Mehul Choksi and Nirav Modi, who allegedly committed the $1.4 billion PNB fraud, are still at large, India's banking regulator has taken over PMC.
