It is impossible to imagine modern medicine without nanotechnology. The use of quantum dots – nanoparticles of less than 1/10,000 the width of a human hair – led to a scientific breakthrough in diagnostics and pharmacology. The National Research Nuclear University MEPhI is now actively exploring how quantum dots can be used in biomedicine.
